Justin Gold

Justin was a nationally-ranked swimmer and 400m runner in high school, and attended Div. 1 Eastern Michigan University for both sports. His years of training and competitive spirit helped him grow into one of the premier dual-sport athletes in the conference.

Justin’s love of fitness carried on after college, however the gym scene lacked the competitive nature he had grown to love. He discovered CrossFit and never turned back. “I thought I was in good shape, and then I started CrossFit” he says. Justin has competed on the local level in CrossFit competitions, and hopes to help lead Trojan CrossFit to a Team Regional Qualifier for The CrossFit Games.

His passion for the sport grew as he got stronger and ‘fitter’, but his passion for the safety and mechanics of the movements grew out of an injury he incurred from years of training incorrectly. Functional movements, strength building, and stretching/mobility exercises have helped Justin recover from a severe herniated disc injury that in most people would have required multiple surgeries and years of medication. He credits CrossFit for allowing him to continue living a healthy, happy life, in and out of the gym.

His unique background enables him to push you to your full potential and beyond, while limiting injury and increasing mobility.
